Hi! I would like to thank the matplotlib team for the new release. I haven't had the courage to deploy it on my main number crunching computer it but I have it on my regular computer and it's been fine.
I'm especially excited to see renewed work on the 3D plotting. I have a quick question: what kind of improvements should I expect to see with the macos backend? I ran the 3D example with and without the backend, and things seemed qualitatively similar.
