Jeff,
I had already had tk-dev installed:
$ sudo apt-get install tk-dev
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
tk-dev is already the newest version.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded
Please see my latest... This is amazingly difficult. Didn't remember it being
this hard when I did it on my Suse machine.
