Nathan: You're using the GTKAgg backend (the default), whereas the script expects the TkAgg backend. Either edit your matplotlibrc file to set TkAgg as your default backend, or run the script like this: python animate_decay_tk_blit.py -dTkAgg -Jeff -- Jeffrey S.
