Has anyone had any success in making land or sea locations transparent in a resulting .png? There are instances when I would like an image to be overlayed on a map and let the underlying terrain map show through. Using an image as a ground overlay in Google Earth would be an example of such a usage.
Also, I've noticed that figurePatch.set_alpha(0.0) does not apply transparency within the bounding box. I'm still ending up with white areas within the bounding box. Can transparency be set within the basemap box? Thanks so much! Bruce --------------------------------------- Bruce W.
