These are different versions. Do you have two different TeX distributions installed on your computer? > ~ Harry$ which latex > /usr/local/bin/latex I think TeX Live installs in /usr/texbin on Mac OS X, although it could make symlinks in /usr/local/bin. Perhaps /usr/texbin/latex is the version you want.
