In the context of a simple power flow or even OPF, it is likely that it will 
appear as a simple power injection (positive or negative), so you could either 
add it to the load or create a generator with a range that extends from the 
maximum charging rate (negative injection) to the maximum discharge rate.

However, most of the interesting things you can do with a battery involve 
multiple time periods. This is a significantly more complicated than a 
single-shot power flow or OPF.
