No, This is not the right approach.
You can not add angle value to reactance of line directly.
You follow the following procedure.
1. Run OPF.
2. Find LMPs.
3. Find LMP differences at end buses of line.
4. Add TCPAR in line which is having maximum value in step 3.
How TCPAR is added in a particular line, that I would mail you after I go
through some reference.
OK Bye.

Subject: CHECK MY PROCEDURE FOR TCPAR/TCPST

Hello sir.
I found that we don't hav any code available for FACTS devices in MATPOWER.
so. i hav tried to include the effect of TCPAR /TCPST by modifying the YBUS.
the procedure is as follows...
I found the OPF of 30-bus system without any FACTS devices.
then i hav noted the lines in which active power losses are more.
now i calculated the angle at sending end and receiving end of the lines.
ex: at line4 sending end angle=tan inverse ( Qat sending end / Pat
sending end)
=10.2
like the same calculated angle at receiving end = 10.6
now
the diff. b/w these two is 0.4
now what hav i done is assuming a t/f
with turns ratio 1. and the rectangle form of angle 0.4 is -6.981*10 ^
-3. and assuming the r=0 because of modeling of t/f.
I hav added -6.981*10 ^ -3 to line X value which gives the resultent X as 0.033
.
now i run the opf of this system which gives the cost as 576.58 , total P&Q
losses as 2.858,13.31.
previously they are 576.89,2.86,13.33.
What
i want to know is this procedure is correct.Other wise plz help me to
find the right procedure. If u hav any code for TCPAR/TCPST plz forward
me sir.
waiting 4 ur response sir.......
thanking u sir.
