I'm not sure if it's a typo, but you should be setting Qmin=-Qd, not -Pd. Also, I'd set Pg = Pmin and Qg = Qmin for the dispatchable load entries in gen.
If that doesn't help, you can send me the case off-list and I'll have a look. -- Ray Zimmerman Senior Research Associate 211 Warren Hall, Cornell University, Ithaca, NY 14853 phone: (607) 255-9645 On Mar 8, 2011, at 4:34 PM, Teddy Richa wrote: > Dear Dr. Zimmerman, > > We read the previous forum posts about load shedding and did as mentioned. > > We multiplied load by a constant. > > We also added generators Pg=0 and Qg=0 Pmax=0 Qmax=0 Pmin=-Pd, Qmin=-Pd on > busses where we have loads. > > The generator cost function > a) 2 0 0 3 0 -60 0; > b) 2 0 0 3 0 -1000 0; > > In both cases a) and b) we got, along with numerical values, > the following warning and errors: > > Warning: > MATLAB Interior Point Solver -- MIPS, Version 1.0b4, 21-May- > > 2010Warning: Matrix is close to singular or badly scaled. > Results may be inaccurate.
