The file test_se_14bus.m is not part of MATPOWER, and MATPOWER does not create any covariance matrices, so I’m not sure what you are referring to. I’m also not sure your question is a MATPOWER question. If there is a question about how to use MATPOWER, feel free to ask it here, otherwise, for more general Matlab or problem-specific questions, please find another appropriate forum.
