I don’t know which paper you are talking about. If you have specific questions about MATPOWER’s modeling or loss calculations which are not covered in the manual or mailing list archives, feel free to ask, but it is your job to understand and account for any differences between MATPOWER’s modeling and that used in whatever paper you are referring to.
