Hello Mr.  Zeya,

Its not very clear that what exact formula are you using for calculating the
susceptance. However following is the way to calculate B in p.u.

For the first row in your data:

Total capacitance = C = 1.046429 \micro F

Total charging capacitive reactance = X_c = 1/{2*pi*50*C} = 3041.86 \Ohms

Total charging capacitive susceptance = B_c = 1/3041.86 = 3.2875 * exp^{-4}

Total charging capacitive susceptance per unit = B_{c,p.u.} = B_c / Y_b

Y_b = 1/Z_b = 1/529

Total charging capacitive susceptance per unit = B_{c,p.u.} = 3.2875 * exp^{-4}
* 529 = 0.1739 p.u.

Sohail.

Hi

The values i’m getting for susceptance pu are way too high i.e. more than 10.
Please have a look at the excel screen shot and the related formulas for
calculating B. Which part am i doing wrong? Many thanks.
