Dear MATPOWER users,

I have several consecutive casefiles in an AC OPF simulation which are not
converging and I can't seem to understand why this is the case. To
summarize what I have done:

1. Performed a check for isolated buses/islands using case_info and
find_islands
    RESULT: fully connected
2. Performed a check if the system load exceeds steady-state loading limit
(FAQ 5 v.)
RESULT: results.cpf.max_lam is greater than 1
3. Conducted individual power flow (runpf) simulations for the
non-converging casefiles
RESULT: Newton's method power flow converged in 4 iterations for all
cases
4. Conducted individual optimal power flow (runopf) simulation for the
non-converging casefiles (IPOPT as a solver)
RESULT: optimal solution found for all cases

Basically, when the cases run independently, there is no problem, but when
they run consecutively, no convergence is reached. This can be attributed
to having different set points for the generators or something else. Could
someone give me a hint as to how to proceed in order to understand why when
run consecutively, the cases do not converge. I am attaching some progress
info of running 4 case files (1 converging and 3 non-converging).

Regards,
Elena
