I am using the Matpower ver 5.1.
Is it possible to consider BS (shunt susceptance) as an optimization
variable in Matpower ?
Reactive power output from generators has already considered as a
variable in Matpower.
However, in that case, I think that generator buses must be specified as
PV-type buses.
I want to use the reactive power injection (and extraction) as a
variable at PQ-type
load buses in AC-OPF for a convergence problem caused by the bus voltage
constraints.
Also, I am using the Knitro as a solver for AC-OPF.
I want to know how to specify the initial guess (starting point) of
variables
(e.g. bus voltage magnitudes and angles).
