Dear all,

I am a new user of MATPOWER and of the power system field in general, so I
apologize for my trivial question.

I am working on a transmission grid whose buses' base voltages are either
220 or 380 kV.
Some of the branches of the grid should link 220 kV nodes with 380 kV
nodes, and viceversa. The grid was built in such a way that the voltage at
which a branch is supposed to work be the same of its "To" bus.
I would like to include the information of the voltage change occurring
within the branch (from 220kV to 380 kV or viceversa) in the branch matrix.
Would it be correct to simply specify the field "TAP" as the ratio between
the "From" bus kV and the "To" bus kV?

example:

              BUS_I    BUS_TYPE                   BASE_KV
mpc.bus=[ 1            2            ..................    380
 ............;
                 2           1             .................    220
...........;
                 .            .                                    .

                 .            .                                    .

                 .            .                                    .

                 .            .                                    .
            ] ;

mpc.branch=[ 1        2           .................   1.727    ............;
                     .         .                                   .

                     .         .                                   .

                     .         .                                   .

                     .         .                                   .
                ];

Any help will be very appreciated.

Thank you,
Enrico
