Jacobian: vector and matrix derivatives

Dear Mr Zimmerman

 

Could you please explain why the derivative of the voltage( dV/dVm  or
dV/dVa) results in a matrix form: diag(V./abs(V)), when V is a vector, as
shown in dSbus_dV.m?
