I don’t have a working model of the UK LV network, but if you haven’t already, you may want to try the suggestions in FAQ #5 <https://www.pserc.cornell.edu/matpower/#pfconvergence> regarding power flow convergence. Also, if it is a radial network, you might try one of the algorithms described in Section 4.3 of the latest User’s Manual <https://www.pserc.cornell.edu/matpower/docs/MATPOWER-manual-7.0b1.pdf>.
