Hello, I am try to perform economic dispatch on a network with 3 diesel generators (0.4 MW, 0.12 MW and 0.256 MW), a storage system rated 0.65 MW and 0.6MW solar generation.
The solution converges however from the profiles of each of the generators, the solar Pv is under utilised while the diesel generators are supporting the load. This scenario has puzzled me. I have tried making the diesel more expensive since the solar PV is at zero cost but this not improve the output of the PV despite more have more sunshine. the Generator costs are as below: mpc.gencost = [ 1 200 150 3 0.200 0.0504 0.300 0.0762 0.400 0.102; 1 150 100 3 0.128 0.0463 0.192 0.0776 0.256 0.108; 1 100 25 3 0.800 0.0346 0.120 0.057 0.160 0.064; Please advice Edward Ekuru Ebyau.
