Dear Ray,
Thank you for the explanation. Sorry for the confusion. I am working on probabilistic OPF. Indeed, I am using MATPOWER's deterministic power to implement my probabilistic OPF.
Kind regards,
AD

First, MATPOWER does not itself implement a probabilistic power flow, so I assume you mean you are using MATPOWER’s deterministic power flow to implement your own. However, MIPS is an optimization tool used by the OPF, not by the power flow. So, I’m not sure which you really mean.
Finally, the default termination criteria for MIPS or the Newton power flow should generally be fine. All you need to do is check the success flag to be sure that it converged successfully.
Hope this helps,
Ray

I want to run probabilistic power flow using AC solver and MIPS without any contingency. How do I decide the termination criteria? Or in other words, my OPF converges.Sorry if it is a lame question. I am not just getting any idea.ThanksAD
