The value of f returned in the results is the objective function value
described in Section 4.2.1 in the MOST User’s
Manual<https://matpower.org/docs/MOST-manual-1.1.pdf>. Comparing values between
different solutions to the same problem is trivial. But when comparing the
values between different problems it is essential to take into account all of
the sources of difference, which requires paying attention to the details of
every term. Generally, when you are seeing negative values it is due to the
negative “cost” of dispatchable loads.

To create the plots, just do …

t_most_suc(0, 1, 1, <path_to_directory_to_save_plot_files>)

Thank you , it worked .
What does the function f objective in the results indicate? means when
most_ex_7_suc is run it gives in negative value and when 3 wind generators are
added to 30 bus it gives positive value f=20569 somthing. How can it be
helpful in comparing the cost?
I also want to know how to plot the summery data just like the 3 graphs in the
manual most example 7 suc (as it isn'tmentioned in any examples)?

In case you are not (yet) on the MATPOWER-L list … here is a link to my reply.

Subject: how to change the solver options for IEEE 30 Bus system

Hi Ray,

I am trying to add renewable generators to IEEE 30 bus system. Starting from
wind, I edited most_ex7_suc.m example by adding three generators to case 30
file as accordingly defined by the manual but I have two problems :
 1. how to change the solver options for using case 30 as far my understanding
the error shown in the attached snapshot is due to changing the case from
case3b to case30 file. Or if its due to other reason, please explain me how to
resolve (as i have gone through your suggestion explained here in the platform
by installing third party solver GUROBI but it didn't work ).
2. Secondly, if I use ex_wind_profile.m and ex_transmat.m for 3 scenarios on 12
hours period for three wind generators, where should be it mentioned to run it
for 3 generators (As far these two mat files are built to add 1 wind generator).

Please if you could give your time to confirm the code in attach file, so that
I am not skipping anything important.

Thanking you in advance.
