Hi Sandeep, I think I have tracked it down to a bug that requires CUSTOM_VIDEO_SRC to have a src property specified.
capture.device.names=Webcam capture.device.Webcam.type=CUSTOM_VIDEO_SRC capture.device.Webcam.customProducer=v4l2src device=/dev/video1 ! image/jpeg,width=1920,framerate=30/1,rate=30 ! jpegdec ! ffmpegcolorspace ! queue *capture.device.Webcam.src=/dev/video1* capture.device.Webcam.flavor=presenter/source capture.device.Webcam.outputfile=Webcam.mpg capture.device.names=Webcam I've created a bug issue to track this: http://opencast.jira.com/browse/MH-6279 but the workaround mentioned above should be fine until I can fix it in the code. Sorry for the slow turn around. The video captured does suffer from bad jpeg compression but does run at the full 30 fps. I would be tempted to go back to regular video capture personally but if you are scaling it for the web it might be okay.
