Hi,

I use to get this error when there is no input connected to the epiphan
device (in my case /dev/screen, since "Screen" is the friendly name of my
epiphan device).

Usually it helped to doublecheck the input source (does the laptop send a
signal?); if that was of no use, matterhorn restart helped, if I remember
correctly.
