Hi steven,

This is an oft requested feature that we too are interested in. There are some
subtleties on how to implement it; do you use a metadata and processing
approach or halt the recording when paused? How does the instructor control
this, view the web, physical device, smart phone, or some combination (like amx
or crestron?). Lack of resources to consider these issues more fully has
caused us to put the thoughts on the back burner, but if you're interested in
contributing that would be great! I'm sure we could help with the integration
into the codebase if you had more thoughts...

Chris

Subject: [Matterhorn-users] Matterhorn module for interactive recording

Hello,

My name is Steve Swinsburg and we (the Australian National University) are
looking to make contact with those involved in planing the dev roadmap for
Matterhorn, as we are interested in contributing to the project. We have our
own in-house lecture recording system we are looking to replace.

However one feature we need is 'on demand' or 'interactive' recording, to
enable a lecturer to decide when to start/pause/stop recording.

Has any work been done in this area?

regards,
Steve
