Hello, first of all, thank you for researching. I myself also could not find any further posts concerning packages "sun-java6-jdk” and “openjdk-6-jdk”. That is why I am asking generally, as to http://opencast.jira.com/wiki/display/MH/Install+Source+Linux+All+in+One++V1.1 Java should be installed. I assume, there is a reason for this, and at recent distributions there is additional effort like editing sources.list, too. I thought, any developer could easily answering this question, why exactly Java is needed (or not). If I have any time left, I will try to comment my results.
