The Matterhorn community has decided to start a monthly adopters
meeting! I propose that it happens on the last Wed. of each month at 8
am PST which means that our first meeting will be on August 31st. I
think this is an ideal time because it ensures that the ongoing meetings
aren't as impacted by the holidays and it is early enough to accommodate
most of our international community's schedules.
The purpose of this meeting is to share your organization's adoption
plans, challenges, and successes. It also will be an opportunity to ask
questions about Matterhorn's road map, release/QA efforts, and generally
learn from and inspire one another. If you have interests in taking the
steps from adopter to contributor, this meeting will provide an
excellent chance to "on board" your resources. On a separate note,
Matterhorn vendors may find this meeting useful to tap into adopters'
needs and update them about your offerings.
I'll send out an agenda call about a week prior to the meeting and it
will be up to you to determine what should be discussed. Even if the
agenda call is silent, there will always be a standing agenda item to
share progress on your organization's deployment efforts. The meeting
will be recorded and the recording and outcomes will be shared with the
greater Opencast community. If for some reason a monthly meeting is too
frequent or infrequent, we'll adjust accordingly but it is critical that
we stay connected.
Best,
Adam
Matterhorn Community Liaison
P.S. I sent this to the matterhorn dev list as well in case interested
developers are not on the users list.
