Summary of some of my results so far with 1.3-rc1:

1. After manually uploading several different files with several different
workflows I see NOTHING on the Recordings tab. The recordings appear in the
Episode Service and show up in the Media Gallery, but the workflow line is
empty and I neither see the end result nor any progress during workflow
processing.

2. The Admin page seems to refresh completely every time I go to a new tab
and this seems unnatural and annoying. Some problem with the HTML or
Javascript needs correction.

3. While manually uploading a recording there used to be a nice progress bar
showing the extent of the upload. This is gone now and needs to come back.

4. There is no information in the "Process" column of the Episode Service.

5. Thumbnails for the videos do not show up in the Media Gallery

6. When I click on a 16:9 video the Engage Player brings up a preview image
that is 4:3 and the preview looks squished.

7. The Engage Player will still not play an .mp4 video using the Wowza
server. Wowza reports "MediaReaderFLV.open: Metadata appears to be bad:
streams/c5658f95-cf32-42aa-8033-d9d47b73a56d/track-
/20110512_204049_033.mp4"

8. Lip-sync is very poor on the video I converted to .flv

9. The segment thumbnails are all missing from the Engage Player both in the
segment timeline and in the Segment display at the bottom of the page.

10. When I go to manually Upload a recording the log shows four messages
like this with different ID's: INFO (IngestRestService:647) - New upload job
created: 6fd42cb6-d08a-4a97-bbc0-1787c74010ea

11. When I upload an mpeg-4 with the default workflow I get enormous
quantities of this message: 08:01:53 INFO (FFmpegEncoderEngine:174) -
Deinterlacing failed

12. I'm getting a large number of warnings about failures against my rtmp
URL. Why Matterhorn is trying to download an .xml from my rtmp streaming
link is a puzzle:

08:05:00 WARN (WorkspaceImpl:251) - Could not copy rtmp://

13. I keep getting this message which I don't understand:

08:05:15 WARN (XACMLAuthorizationService:117) - Multiple XACML policies are
attached to 8ee873f3-6a9a-4d99-9ca3-2dee1b13e61e, and none seem to be
authoritative. The ACL will be empty

14. The PostgreSQL ddl scripts are completely out of date and will not work.

15. The splash page after login still says "Release 1.2: Enjoy the view!"

Ok, that's all for now. Can we get all this fixed by Monday? I have a lot of
people interested in seeing Matterhorn.

Hank

p.s. This is all on a Centos 5.5 system using PostgreSQL (now with auto-ddl)
and viewing with Firefox 7 on a Macintosh. Release 1.3-rc1
