did you activate automated updates in a way? Maybe some important
libraries had been updated automatically. We only updated the machines
between the semesters.

One of the professors here on campus notified us that lecture captures
weren't working for his series. So I logged into the capture agent, a
PC running matterhorn 1.1 and Ubuntu 10.10. I no sooner logged in and
received a message saying that the PC required a reboot. So who am I

And where did this message come from? The PC seemed to be just fine.
