Nope, there's nothing you need to do to make the core aware of the ECD. Does the core's log contain notification that the agent's configuration data arrived? Something along the lines of 2012-01-23 11:26:57 WARN (AgentImpl:278) - Null friendly name list for agent demo_capture_agent. Capabilities filtering aborted. Does the URL field also include the port?
