Galicaster license is CC non comercial so it can be used or modified by end users (persons or institutions) as a whole or it's parts under that license. So is open and free for non comercial purposes. Galicaster has been developed by TELTEK with it's own resources, we opened it to the community of end users for free, but ECL license permits others to develop closed comercial products based on the licensed code and that is something we, (as a small company trying to find business models around OC-MH) can't face now. I would love to find a way to release it under ECL but currently our idea is to license Galicaster under a dual license model with a CC non comercial and a comercial license for comercial purpouses, OEM license, etc...
