I use the "POST /stop" method in the "Workflow REST Endpoint" to accomplish this. The workflow id needed there can be found by clicking on the little wheel in the 'Status'-field at the left of the status indicator (look for Workflow Instance -> Instance -> id). Or - if your browser allows this - as last part of the preview URL when the mouse pointer hovers over that wheel). This will stop the workflow and remove the entry from the UI.
