Hi,
sorry for the delayed answer.
We will put together a documentation of the html-flash bridge. And I
asked Markus Ketterl if he could provide some more documentation about
the Flash Player itself.

Hi,
I would like to be able to develop, compile, debug, etc the engage
player in Flash Builder. The instructions on the readme file didn't
quite work for me, but it seems I was able to compile it successfully.
How do I run it? I mean, how do I pass a media url to play? Do I need
to do it via the JavaScript functions? Is there any documentation that
could help?
Thanks,
Rute

Hi Ruben,
the video display code has been updated to reflect the changes
required for Flex 4.6.
Maven + flexmojos is also working again. You can also use your IDE
(FlashBuilder, IntelliJ, Eclipse, ...) and add the SDK [1]
Maven:
1) cd to modules/matterhorn-engage-player
2) mvn clean install
this deploys the targets artifact to shared-resources/player
The artifact name is: matterhorn-engage-player-1.4-SNAPSHOT
3) You need to rename the file to Videodisplay
4) Rebuild and deploy matterhorn-engage-ui
Let me know if you encounter further issues.
(Potentially) open tasks for example are:
- MH-8143 HD zoom (needs "only" to be merged - UX?)
- adding additional video sources (UX? mockups?)

Hi Ruben,
helpful would be for example to take a look at the updated component
skinning abilities in Flex 4. Adding FXG (graphic exported from
Illustrator, Photoshop, Fireworks etc.) support to buttons (fullscreen
mode is an example). Enable Stage3D hardware accelaeration + in
combination with our HTML slide overlays is also an open issue.
Is this design/dev work possible for you?
Markus
Hey Markus,
Could you give an estimate on how long it will take? We have had one
person
working on that for a couple days, but of course we're not experts
and our
progress is slow. We don't want to push you, because we know
everybody has
a lot of stuff of their own to do, but we were hoping we could help
somehow
to speed up the process if it's possible.
Please let us know if we can collaborate somehow to get this done
asap.
Best regards
Rubén

Hey,
the modules get´s the required updates to flexmojos4 along with a
general
update to Flex 4.6. This will also include the latest version of
OSMF.
As soon as the changes have been committed to trunk you will be
able to
run
mvn install and the new .swf will be located in the shared-resources
folder.
I will also update the Readme section in the main wiki. The swf
will be
compatible to Matterhorn 1.2/1.3 and 1.4.

There was sometime the module build. What you can do is to export
the
module(have a look at the readme) and import to flash/flex
builder and
build it there and copy back the build swf to shared resources.

Hi Markus,
Yes, ok. But that .swf was created somehow. If the module is not
working, how could we get our own .swf file modified? We are trying
to
fix one issue with the player and if we cannot modify and recompile
it, we are completely stuck...
Is there, then, any other way to build a modified player from
sources?
How do the other developers 'develop' (sorry for the repetition)
the
player?
Thanks for your input

As far as I know Markus K. is currently working on this and
will
propably commit his changes as soon as it really is working.
Btw. the player swf isn't created always when you build
matterhorn
but is already in a compiled form in the shared-resources
only if
you changed something in the swf player code you need to
recompile.

Dear list,
Has anyone tried to compiled the player's .swf file? I know
this
is supposed to be done with matterhorn-engage-player.
First we tried with 1.1 and 1.2 versions, but compilation
fails
because a certain component called "DRMEvents" is required,
but
it's not supported until FlexMojo version 4, and the one
indicated in the pom.xml is 3.something .
Then we tried using the trunk version but there are some CSS
variables which are not defined (please see log attached).
Then we edited the pom.xml in the 1.2 version to use FlexMojo
version 4, and we finally got the same errors than the
previous
case (CSS errors).
Can somebody give us any clue on what's happening? How is the
.swf built, if the compilation of this module is broken?
Thanks for your help
Rubén
