there is a "cleanup" operation available which is part of the default workflow. This operation should be taking care of removing all the files that you don't want to keep. If after running this operation there are still files left in /workspace or /files that you did not specifically exclude from being "cleaned up" (aka removed), this should be reported as a bug.
