Start matterhorn with the start_matterhorn.sh script. Modify your custom 
encoding and workflow files a bit (delete or insert something -- best be a 
valid configuration option) and check the MH console. It should say something 
about installing the encoding profile and workflow. Have you configured the 
file permissions correctly?
