Hi Rute,

at the moment, parts of the media package and the mediapackage itself are
stored in the following places:

- working file repository and workspace (parts)
- distribution channels (parts)
- workflow service (workflows with mediapackage)
- search service (mediapackage)
- episode service (mediapackage)

Since at the moment there is no archive, the clean up operation of the workflow
is by default configured in such a way that the original recording and the
original catalogs are left in the working file repository, so you should indeed
be able to retract with a cleanup operation included that implements a
remove-all policy.

But there's some good news as well. Tomorrow afternoon, Christoph will check in
the first version of a filesystem based archive, essentially a storage backend
to today's episode service. From that time on, there is no need to leave
anything in the working file repository after processing, and the archive will
be the one place to look for (and remove) parts of a media package.
