I noticed that this page has been created in the developer wiki by
Rudiger, with a child page that tells a great story about Osnabrueck's
adoption.
I'm not sure what was in mind for this section of the wiki, but I just
want to be sure we aren't duplicating efforts here:
http://opencast.org/matterhorn-adopters. I realize this list needs to be
updated - a process I'm initiating now in anticipation of the board
elections in September (organizations on
http://opencast.org/matterhorn-adopters are granted voting privileges in
the election). I also welcome any suggestions as to how we can make this
list more useful to potential adopters who are asking the timeless
question "who is using Matterhorn?"
I do see the need, however, to offer additional details about an
organization's deployment beyond what might appear at opencast.org, and
this new space in the wiki would be a great place for that.
I would like to propose this process (and that this information be
provided at the top of the Adopting Institution page in the wiki):
- Adopting Institutions should at a minimum be listed at
http://opencast.org/matterhorn-adopters.
- Adopting institutions are invited to offer additional details about
their deployment in the new area in the wiki. Then, on their adopter
profile on opencast.org/matterhorn-adopters, in the "description" area,
provide a link to a more detailed profile (e.g.
http://opencast.jira.com/wiki/x/wAGmAQ).
An email will be going out this week about adding your organization to
http://opencast.org/matterhorn-adopters in anticipation for the upcoming
elections, but if you have any questions about adding your organization
to this list, please let me know.
Thanks!
Michelle
