Does it work with the firewire camera alone?
I don't know your capture box. You probably need to set it to a fixed
framerate of 25 fps, as the MS MPEG encoder expects a framerate > 15fps
and you need 25 fps for the two videos to be synchronous.

Do you use an epiphan vga2usb device? Then:
- Start epiphan capture tool as administrator (You will need to accept
the special rights after the start)
- Select Capture -> Configure Device...
- Set a fixed framerate.
