It appears the cause was UC Berkeley's distributed deployment's worker server
becoming non-functional. This seems to repeatedly happen. It appears down
but it is running felix as indicated by top and ps. see attachment. I can't
access it's welcome page, and admin can't dispatch jobs to it. No new logs
generated and nothing in logs indicates a problem. When the server is restarted
it inspacts the media as expected.
