Hey Adam,

Thanks for the pointer to the integration server. I do have gstreamer and all of the plugins installed locally, as I was using them for a new workflow operation handler. It's not overly important as I was still able to run all of my tests for the conductor bundle, however having a locally built version would still be handy to have. Do you know a revision that I would be able to move back to?

Hi Robert,
For future reference, I find our integration server helpful as an indicator whether it is a local problem or an official test failure. http://opencast02.ethz.ch/browse/MT-DEF It appears that this issue has been around for awhile, but the good news is that they have been addressed in 1.1.x branch and will be ported to trunk soon. Those tests should not run unless gstreamer is installed, and gstreamer is not part of our 3rd party installs. For anything other than the capture agent, gstreamer is unneeded unless you want to run the demo capture agent. If you install gstreamer manually and include the bad and ugly plugins, theoretically those tests should pass. Otherwise, with the upcoming patches, the tests will be ignored.

I am a bit confused. Do you have gstreamer and the bad and ugly plugins already installed on your machine?

Hi Robert,

I am not sure why the 3rd party script is failing but looking at your original issue is it possible you have gstreamer installed but not the ugly plugins? (gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly) If not a quick fix would be to install them but please let me know so that I can fix the test.

Thanks,
Adam

        Robert,

could you provide additional information? Trunk (rev 10126)
is building fine for me, but failed last week with the same
problem you were mentioning. Would you mind checking your
revision number (svn info) and reporting back? In addition,
did you use the 3rd party tools installer on your machine?

        Thanks,
        Tobias

            Hey guys,

I'm trying to build Matterhorn from source on a new
laptop. Clean Ubuntu 10.10 install following the
            instructions posted at

http://opencast.jira.com/wiki/display/MH/Install+Source+Linux+%28Trunk%29
gives a test error in AudioFileSinkConsumerTest, in the
            matterhorn-capture-agent-impl package. I've attached the
surefire report output by JUnit. The problem is in the
creation of an AudioFileSinkConsumer in the

settingCodecToFAACButNotContainerResultsInCorrectCodecAndCorrectMuxer()
            test.

            Any help?

    Hey Tobias,

I checked out the most recent trunk (rev 10129), and the
3rd-party tools is failing to build. I've attached the output of
the script. I'm trying a build of matterhorn right now, I just
have to head out for a bit. I'll send the results when I get back.
