The problem goes deeper than missing jaxb.index entries and conflicting @Xml*
attributes. The use of abstract JAXB classes, with implementations hidden as
anonymous inner classes won't work with the JAXB runtime. JAXB annotated
classes must be concrete classes that can be instantiated by other
classloaders. Assigning to Tobias and Christoph so they can fix the
implementation while maintaining their ROI work.
