This is an issue an will keep an issue for a while:
The gstreamer version of Ubuntu 11.04 does not support V4L anymore. That's why
epiphan changed their driver to V4L2 compatibility. Matterhorn still has a
V4L-dependency on this device. This can be changed quite easy as Waldemar told
me, but the it would not be Ubuntu 10.x compatible anymore. Or we would need to
implement a switch that checks the driver version and we have both versions in
our code and will have to maintain the two versions for a while...
The decision in the videoconference and on list seemed to me that we say that
the matterhorn CA is not compatible with Ubuntu > 10.10 until the next LTS
version comes out and we announce that this is the new default OS version.
