Greg Logan commented on MH-7839:
--------------------------------

It can be, although it doesn't have to be. I'm picturing a service which lives
somewhere on the core which, when queried with an agent's ID, would respond
with 'capturing <recording ID.' or 'idle'.

> The Core needs a way to tell what a given CA should be currently doing.

> Right now we have an endpoint on the CA which tells us what the CA is
> currently doing (/state/state), but we do not know what it *should* be doing
> according to the core. We should create an endpoint on the core which
> responds with what the core thinks the CA's state should be, or something
> similar.
