Any progress on plans for migration support between versions 1.2 and
1.3? I think the idea of creating a formal process around DB and solr
schema changes is compelling and would simplify migration tasks. Are
these changes limited do DB updates and schema changes? Can we count on
the workfing file service (and file system structure) remaining stable
from release to release? It's an area that most folks steer clear of.

Rüdiger, any answer, or non-answer, you get from the mailing list will be
inconclusive. Subversion knows better than anybody will be able to recall.
You'll need to install 1.2 and 1.3 to compare the databases to be sure. And as
for solr, you can quickly find all solr/schema.xml files and do diffs between
1.2 and 1.3.
Until there's a more formal process in place to make DB or solr schema changes
in the trunk, this is the only way you can be sure of the differences between
two versions.

Who is currently doing the schema changes for the DB? We are 3 days before the
code freeze for 1.3 now. Whoever is planing something like this should be
really quick to commit it.
If no one is working on this I would currently vote against such changes, as
the upgrade scripts will probably be easier to realize without database changes.
So the open question is: what has to be done to get upgrade scripts for 1.2 to
1.3?
Greg menitioned that the advanced usage statistics need additional database
tables. I guess these can be added quite easy.
Did anyone else commit changes that would need modifications from 1.2s
database, search index, file system or whatever?

Just on this, it was discussed on list that our schema for the db are
a mess, so I imagine there could be some changes before 1.3.

I would add to the agenda the question if we would need update
scripts from 1.2 to 1.3. Has anybody changed the database or the
search indexes since the last release?

I don't have anything to add aside from interest in 1.3 updates. I
imagine that would mean the 1.3 release managers will be present :)
Does anyone have any other agenda items?
