Sounds like a decent feature to me. Can you put it in jira as a feature request? It might be a bit harder since it would cross the system boundaries between self serve and matterhorn (e.g. matterhorn knows which recordings are going into which roles, self serve knows which roles turn into email addresses), but I think we could work it out with a web-service request to self-serve...
