Rubén Pérez Vázquez commented on MH-8141:
-----------------------------------------
I've been taking a look at this since I have some spare time, and I think this
service needs some revision to be fixed. I've got a couple questions, I hope
they are not stupid...
- From what I could glimpse in the source code, the machines with -remote-impl
make requests to ANY of those with the -impl. This means that ALL machines
which deployed the -impl need to use the same filesystem in order to avoid
inconsistencies, am I right? I.e. those machines deploying the "normal" -impl
should mount the same shared filesystem so that all of them "see" the same
files, so that the -remote-impl machines will "see" the same filesystem,
regardless which one of the pool they are sending their requests to.
- How do you see an schema where the "normal" -impl exposes the files directly
to certain URLs and the -remote-impl get those URLs via REST services, and then
use Channels to make the effective copy? It seems more secure than using HTTP
to copy the files, and it does not seem to have any size limitation? Does this
sound feasible?
> Machines deployed with workspace-stub fail to copy files bigger than 2 GB
