well, we had 2 similar cases here; our workarounds:
1. ingest the recording twice and trim it twice so you get 2 result
videos with the "bad part" trimmed away
2. use ffmpeg on command line to cut away the desired portion in
the source files (is just 1-2 commands, though I dont remember the exact syntax).

generated files with matterhorn / open cast tools? GUI-Based? For example:
