----------------------------------------------------------

Thank you for the comments Judy.
- We had initially discussed the terms "presenter" and "presentation" and I do
agree there may be a need to find more meaningful terms. We discussed this as a
team and we cant seem to get the right terminology. What would you suggest?
- I have attached a screenshot for a single stream recording
- We switched from the 7 June design/implementation because for instance it
showed mime type and we didnt feel that was too meaningful to a user and a file
extension would be somewhat more descriptive. The initial design also showed
resolution which some users may not really understand. We tried to describe the
resolution to make them more meaningful e.g. 320 X 240 - Low Resolution.
- I added the download link on the side because I didn't feel it was worth
making the entire description of the media a "link", this can although be
changed, it would result less text as you have mentioned but thats why I did it
that way.
- I am somewhat very new to the community I am not really sure what it would
take to create an entire muxed file. But the according to our workflows the
.avi file and the .flv file have BOTH audio and video, they are not just video
files. So you get a "Presenter + Audio" (Lecturer with voice) and "Presentation
+ audio"(narrated powerpoint) in most cases.
- We are working on this feature so that we can enable students and/or
lecturers the ability to download media files for viewing later. There are some
bandwidth issues here so streaming a recording isn't always the best
alternative for us.
