Hi all,

I'm keen to reopen the discussion around H264 media on the engage side
of things, especially with the idea that we might be able to do HTML 5
and get rid of a streaming server by just using HTTP chunking.

I understand from a discussion with Ruediger that H264 delivery of
video to our current swf won't work in Red5, but might in wowza, and
that there are instructions in our upcoming release on how to get wowza
going with engage. My questions are:
1. Does anyone have a workflow that encodes to h264 from the capture
agent that they know works with wowza and engage to allow seeking in
media?
2. Has anyone done any deep testing with wowza or considered it for
production?

In Matterhorn 1.4 I'd like to have H264 working out of the box for
capture agents. UCB is going to help us test this, so that should be a
nice alternative for people who want both a quality bump and a little
space savings.

My last question of the thread: anyone interested in contributing a
chunking HTTP streaming component that involves some H264 hinting in a
workflow so those of us who want to switch to H264 throughout the whole
tool chain can?

Chris
