I'm not really an Engage developer, but I am working on a clips playback tool (http://tv.teltek.es/en/iframe/30.html) as part of my thesis which may or may not be relevant for your needs. Is this something that's relevant to your needs? It's hard to tell what your needs are from the wiki :) The timeline for integrating the tool is September to December 2012, depending on how well the polishing steps go.
