Hi all,

I don't want to overreact, but we are not at all following the spirit
of the process we set out to a month and a half ago. Our goal was for
a short release even if that meant features had to be cut. As is it
will be impossible for us to have a stable release for May 1, the date
we were aiming for.

We really need to have trunk closed, and we need to roll back versions
that don't work. I realise that some of the errors are extremely
annoying, like locale issues that are difficult to fix, but I don't
know that the source of the error should stop us from following our
process. It's better to have an incremental release than a mammoth one.

The RM's are Tobias and Greg, right? Was there a third (Micah?)? Can
you guys outline what is going to happen over the next couple of days?
Can we get a final close of trunk by the end of day Tuesday, with you
guys giving us an update in the meeting?

Institutions will start losing interest in 1.4 if we don't close trunk
and get into QA mode. I'm not looking to blame people, just to get
movement forward.

Chris
