Hi Pawel,

the option to change metadata of mediapackages has been implemented and will be
available in Matterhorn 1.4. The same is true for the removal of an episode.
Simply add an operation to the existing "retract" workflow which tells the
episode service to remove any evidence of the recording in addition to the work
that the retract workflow is doing already.

With regards to database storage, Lukas Rohner has implemented an additional
storage of mediapackage in the database. Additional in the sense that we'll
still keep the mediapackage in Solr for ease of searching, but use the SQL
storage to allow for regeneration of the search index after schema upgrades.

So to me it seems that the only thing missing right now is a "delete from
archive" workflow operation, and I would be happy to apply any patch that
implements that piece of functionality.
