Chris,

the reason why it's not installed by default is that OAI-PMH will in its 
current implementation exchange *all* mediapackages and is not secured in any 
way. By not including it by default, we wanted to make sure that the 
configurere is making a conscious decision by installing it (and thereby 
opening all content up for public harvesting).
